Privacy Policy
Short version: Our apps collect no personal data — your recordings, notes, and files stay on your device. We run no ads, no third-party analytics, and no cross-app tracking. The only information we ever hold is what you deliberately send us on this website (an email to join a waitlist, or a message on the contact form), and we use it only to reply to you.
Who we are
This is the privacy policy for DEESTECH HOLDINGS LLC ("Deestech", "we", "us"), covering the deestechholdings.com website and the Deestech family of apps. Some individual apps have their own, more specific privacy page linked from their app listing; where an app has its own policy, that policy governs that app and this one fills in anything it does not address.
Our apps collect no personal data
The Deestech apps are built to work entirely on your device. As a rule, they have no user accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of ours to send your content to. We do not collect names, emails, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. Our apps contain no third-party advertising or tracking software.
When an app asks for a permission — for example the camera or microphone — it is only so the app can do the job you opened it for (such as recording). The photos, videos, audio, notes, and projects you create are written as files on your device. We cannot see, access, hear, or read them.
Update checks (desktop apps and plug-ins). DEES TAPE for Mac & PC and the Deestech audio plug-ins ask deestechholdings.com for a list of the latest versions, at most about once a day, so they can tell you when an update is out. The request contains no account, licence key, email, or device identifier; like any web request it reveals your IP address and the name of the app or host program making it. You can turn automatic checks off in DEES TAPE under ABOUT → CHECK AUTOMATICALLY (this applies to every Deestech product on that computer).
What the website collects
The only personal information we hold is what you choose to give us here on the website:
- Waitlist / early-access sign-ups. If you enter your email address to join a waitlist, we store that email so we can notify you when the app is available. Nothing else.
- Contact & support messages. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive the message and the address you sent it from, so we can respond and help you.
We use this information only for the purpose you gave it to us. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising, and we do not share it except with the service providers that help us operate the site and reach you (see below).
Service providers we rely on
The website is hosted on Cloudflare, and email you send us is handled through our email provider. These providers process data only to deliver the website and our messages, under their own privacy and security terms. We do not use third-party advertising networks or data brokers.
Cookies & analytics
The website does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Any storage the site uses is limited to what is needed to make pages work (such as remembering your light/dark theme preference on your own device).
Children
Our apps and website are intended for general audiences and are not directed at children under 13. Because our apps collect no personal information, they collect none from children either. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website; if you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices & your rights
Because we hold so little, control is simple. You can ask us at any time to tell you what we have, to correct it, or to delete it — for example, to remove your email from a waitlist. Just email us at the address below and we will take care of it.
Security
Content created in our apps stays on your device under the protection of your operating system's own security. The limited information you send us through the website is held with our hosting and email providers using industry-standard protections. Because our apps transmit nothing to us, there is no app data on our servers that could be exposed.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
